MOVIE TRAILER: Denzel Washington's "Book of Eli"; directed by the Hughes Brothers
I'm happy to see the Hughes Brothers (directors of Menace II Society) are directing a film such as this - VERY RARILY do you see black directors a part of projects on this level. Most of the time we are writing and directing romantic comedies or civil rights dramas...- there's nothing wrong with that, I love those type of films, BUT it's good to see a change and to show that we can also do action epic type films.
Film's release date is slated for January 15, 2010.

According to Sister 2 Sister Magazine, four big names are set to star in Tyler Perry’s next film adaptation, including Oprah Winfrey.
A source close to the film revealed to S2S that Oprah, Halle Berry, Angela Bassett and Kimberly Elise have all been tapped for For Colored Girls Who Have Considered Suicide When the Rainbow Is Enuf.
Reportedly the ladies already did a table read for the stage-to-screen adaptation a few weeks ago. We expect that filming should go pretty smoothly since Tyler has worked with most of the ladies in one capacity or another once before. Halle would be the only newcomer to the Perry pantheon. Kimberly starred in the Tyler’s first major motion picture Diary of a Mad Black Woman, while Angela helmed the cast for Meet The Browns. Currently, he and Oprah have been credited as executive producer for Precious.
I hope this is true! I'll be front row!!!

Chris Brown scheduled for in-depth interview with Robin Roberts!
ABC's 20/20 will air an in-depth interview with Chris Brown on December 11. The interview was recorded when the singer recently sat down with the network's Robin Roberts to discuss his assault on ex-girlfriend Rihanna and the media hoopla that followed. Rihanna also sat down for her own tell-all interview with ABC's Diane Sawyer earlier this month. Brown has already spoken about the incident on Larry King Live and on MTV.

Tiger Woods' Facial injuries allegedly caused by wife; couple allegedly argued over reports of him having an affair?
According to TMZ, Tiger Woods was allegedly confronted by his wife regarding reports that he's seeing another woman. The argument got heated and, according to our source, she scratched his face up. Woods then quickly headed to his SUV -- but according to our source, Woods says his wife followed behind with a golf club.
As Tiger drove away, she struck the vehicle several times with the club. Woods became "distracted," thought the vehicle was stopped, and looked to see what had happened. At that point the SUV hit the fire hydrant and then hit a tree.
Woods told authorities Friday that he had been taking prescription pain medication for an injury, which could explain why he seemed somewhat out of it at the scene. Tiger is slated to be formally interviewed by the Florida Highway Patrol. Technically he could accuse his wife of assault, but I doubt he'll do so.
Wow, this is almost as bad as OJ and Nicole.

TV HOLIDAY SPECIAL: Oprah Winfrey To Interview the Obamas this Christmas!
Oprah Winfrey will interview President Obama and his wife, Michelle Obama, next month for a 60-minute program to air before Christmas, the talk show host announced Wednesday.
"Christmas at the White House: An Oprah Primetime Special" will air at 10 p.m. ET December 13 on ABC, her Web site said. "The intimate, informative and entertaining hourlong special will include a one-on-one conversation with the president, marking the first time Oprah has interviewed him since he took office, as well as an exclusive sit-down interview with the first couple," it said.
The special "will showcase behind-the-scenes preparations as the White House gets ready for the holiday season," the Web site said. Winfrey, who supported Obama in his presidential bid and this month interviewed defeated GOP vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin, recently said she will stop hosting her syndicated talk show in 2011 to focus on launching an Oprah Winfrey Network.

ABC'S "Good Morning America" Cancels Adam Lambert concert over AMA Performance
The people who didn't like Adam Lambert's "American Music Awards" performance won't have to worry about a repeat performance on "Good Morning America" -- cause that gig is canceled.
I guess simulating oral sex with a dude and kissing another dude was too much for ABC. A rep for the show told TV Newser, "Given his controversial live performance on the AMAs we were concerned about airing a similar concert so early in the morning." Ironically enough, Lambert announced he was gay on "20/20" earlier this year -- which airs on ABC.

MUSIC NEWS: Day 26 Leaves Diddy's Bad Boys Records
After becoming stars via Diddy's reality TV series "Making The Band," Day26's run at Bad Boy Records has come to an end. The group has left the label, according to a report from TheBoomBox.com, but say they are still a part of Diddy's extended family. "Bad Boy is always our family, but we're with Atlantic right now," member Willie Taylor told the site. Although they became stars on reality television, Day26 are now determined to prove that they have what it takes to make it on pure talent, rather than TV ratings.
"We really want to get people focused on the artistry, on the music," Taylor explained. "I think a lot of people lost it with the entertainment of the show. So now, we really want to show people what we're all about, that we do our thing whether its on stage, in the studio, writing and producing -- we do it all."
Day26 are currently in the studio working on their third group album.
Diddy had previously locked down a distribution deal with Atlantic Records for Bad Boy, but just months ago, he opted to sign with Interscope Records where he'll be releasing his next album, Last Train to Paris, with his new group Dirty Money comprised of himself, former Danity Kane member Dawn Richard and newcomer Kaleena.

Oprah's Harpo Films to Produce an Erotic Series for HBO; plus Oprah's rep says the media mogul has no plans of leaving Chicago
Oprah Winfrey has a surprising project in the works. Her Harpo Films has made a deal with HBO to team on a sexually charged hourlong series pilot about a woman who leaves her seemingly perfect marriage and children in Santa Monica for the underbelly of L.A., where she indulges her secret fantasies and desires. Pilot is being written by Erin Cressida Wilson, best known for writing 2002 indie pic “Secretary,” which starred James Spader and Maggie Gyllenhaal film in the story of a boss-secretary relationship that veers into S&M.
Whether Oprah is leaving Chicago, here's what her rep told Showbiz411's Roger Friedman:
"We are ending the show, but not shutting our doors," Winfrey's rep Don Halcombe told Friedman.
